Got (the) balls to recycle?

With Second Serve, we want to give used balls a new reason of existence.

In cooperation with the various federations we - as a proud sponsor of padel - are looking at how we can help the sport evolve.

Already 341 667 padel balls collected!

That’s 20.5 tonnes saved from waste. How much further can we go?

Let’s keep working together to give these balls a second life !

How do these balls get a second serve?

By supplying recycle bins to clubs all over the country in which padel players can leave their used balls. We have them collected every month to first get stored for a short while and then recycled.

Second Serve is a circular initiative by Padel Vlaanderen, Padel Wallonie-Bruxelles, Padel Belgium and Keytrade Bank.

    What's the point?

Our goal is to make padel more sustainable through a growing, long-term project.

After a successful pilot that collected 976 kg of used balls in 16 clubs, Second Serve rapidly expanded across Belgium. Today, we are active in 126 clubs, with balls collected monthly by our partners Axedis, La Lumière, and Wase Werkplaats.

  • 1 ball = 0.05€

    1 recycled ball = 5 cents

To give this already responsible initiative yet another dimension, we are"recycling" our '5 cents bonus per transaction' campaign. For each ball collected, we will donate 5 cents to associations that want to make padel more accessible for everyone.

In other words, collecting 500 000 balls could generate up to 25 000EUR .

Don't we all need a Second Serve?
